They have 8 wrap coils, 2 piece 20 gauge x 1/2 inch springs w/ stainless screw and contact points The "slotted swing" style, no slip, perfect fit tube grip restricts heat transfer and makes needle bar insertion and removal easy. But just these components aren’t all that make these machines superior. “K" model Tattool Machines superiority over "fixed spring" machines is in the "Swiveling Spring Head"TM. The "Swiveling Spring Head" is the part of the machine that the rear spring attaches to, that attaches to the machines "Back Bone".
With the ease and precision of simple adjusting screws. The Swiveling Spring Head rotates the springs, armature bar, front binding post and binding post arm to the desired stroke length position. The adjusting screws also lock the spring head in place.
For the first time ever, the front Binding Post moves with the Springhead, so both the stroke length and the point gap adjustments are minimal and precise. You never bend the springs, so there is never a problem readjusting the stroke length when desired. Unlike most other machines, it is very easy to see the perfect stroke length as you tune the machine. This makes for 100% repeatability.

K model Machines are assembled one at a time and may be one of several different colors or combinations of color. Special (custom) colors and matched sets are available. Standard machine colors change with each generation. While main frames stay the same design, sidearm styles change with each generation. Some machines have accessories that are not standard equipment, such as our quick change capacitor, and or, the phone jack adaptor. These accessories are available for all machines.
